Hearing in Greenville, MS

Dear FSCM Members,
We just wanted to inform everyone that Rep. Willie Bailey, of Greenville, MS is chairing a public hearing next week (Aug. 6, 2009) concerning the payday loan industry in Mississippi. From what we understand, the hearing is sponsored in part by the Mississippi Centers for Justice and will likely be anti payday lending.
We do not know much more than that at this time but thought you should be made aware of what is going on.
A handful of members from our association will try to attend and monitor the event. If you have offices in this area and have a well spoken customer who would be willing to testify on behalf of the industry please let us know.
The hearing is set for next Thursday in Greenville.
