Job Detail
The Information Technology (IT) Customer Support Specialist will become a
vital team member and be the first responder to customer inquires.
An IT Customer Support Specialist is an individual with a well-rounded
background in software, hardware, networks and communications technology who is
strong in analytical and interpersonal skills and has the ability to deal
effectively and patiently with customers.
Specific responsibilities include:
Answering questions and analyzing problems over the phone and via e-mail
Supporting customers by helping troubleshoot software, hardware and back up
issues
Interacting with customers to translate business requirements into technical
solutions
Assisting customers with training questions related to our custom software
products
Logging, routing and following up on phone calls and e-mail
Database maintenance
Supply acquisition
Routine office duties: filing, faxing, copying and office errands
A candidate will have:
Excellent verbal communication skills; clarity of speech, patience and
optimism; a must for dealing with customers
Strong analytical and trouble shooting skills
Experience in identifying and solving software, hardware, back up and training
related issues
The ability to be self directed
Strong organizational skills
Strong interpersonal skills to compliment technical skills
Strong written communication skills
In addition, the
candidate will have:
Excellent knowledge of DOS and Window’s operating systems
Ability to use Microsoft Access and Word for Windows
Office clerical and writing skills
Some knowledge of the consumer finance industry or strong interest in consumer
finance
